Midday Assistant
Hours: 5 hours per week 12.00pm - 1.00pm Monday - Friday
Weeks: 38 weeks (term time only)
Pay Band - Scale 2 Points 3-4 (£22,737-23,114 FTE salary)
Actual Salary £2,569.31-£2,645.30
Fixed Contract until 18 July 2025
We are looking to appoint a reliable, caring, adaptable, motivated, and enthusiastic Midday Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 1 hour per day.
The successful candidates must:
- Be able to follow guidance from the Midday Supervisor and assist with the management of the dining hall to enable a calm and enjoyable lunch for our pupils.
- In collaboration with other midday colleagues and senior staff creatively manage and implement interesting and stimulating activities and play for lunchtime play.
- Oversee the pupils in the playground with positive engagement to ensure a safe and happy play time experience.
- Ensure First Aid protocols are followed including adherence to record keeping.
- Implement the Safeguarding and Behaviour Policy consistently.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Have the ability to use their own initiative.

Information about the School
We are a popular, happy and caring school where expectations and standards are high and where every child is valued. Our children enjoy an exciting learning experience in a stimulating environment. We have an extensive outdoor space which includes a playing field, large play apparatus and a secure garden for our Early Years children to explore. With our own garden and Forest School, we embrace outdoor learning. Our story telling garden was opened by local author, Kes Grey and it includes a wildlife area and pond. We offer an extensive range of additional clubs and activities for children to participate in.
