Residential Support care worker- Residential Unit (Pupils board Monday - Thursday nights)
Working hours: 26 or 37 hours per week, shift work Monday to Friday. Term Time (Plus Non Pupil Days). Shift pattern is a rolling 2 week rota, times to be confirmed but usually one week of earlies and one week of lates. The residential week begins at 12.30pm every Monday and finishes at 12.30pm on a Friday. You should also be aware that the shifts will include times before and after school hours.
Pay:Scale 5 (Points 9-11) starting salary from £13.02 per hour, paid as an annual salary inclusive of 5.7 weeks holiday pay allowance, paid in 12 equal installments
£15,132.49 for 26 hours and£21,534.70 for 37 hours. Plus sleep in allowance
Start Date: April 2024
The role will include supporting our awesome pupils during their time at the residential unit, including participating in trips and activities, evening meals, breakfast and bedtime and morning routines, whilst following the school's ethos to deliver a therapeutic approach to behaviour and learning. You will be required to help with personal care and well as housekeeping duties. You will also be expected to have a level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's social care pathway or equivalent or be prepared to work towards the same. The school will support you in getting enrolled in this if you do not hold the qualification.
Lexden Springs is an inspiring school where no two days are ever the same (but a smile is always guaranteed!) which caters for pupils aged 3 - 19 who have a variety of severe learning difficulties, including some with autism and/or challenging behaviour and some with serious medical conditions.Our pupils can start their boarding journey with us from the age of 5 years old up until their 16th birthday.

Please note: Due to the nature of the role, all breaks in the evening/night will need to be taken on site, you should also be aware that Lexden Springs is a non smoking site.
