Kelvedon St Mary's Primary Academy, which is part of Canonium Learning Trust, is seeking to appoint a Mid Day Assistant to join our dedicated team of lunchtime support staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our students during lunchtime and ensuring their safety and well-being.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervising students during lunchtime and ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting the school's values
  • Assisting with the set-up and clearing away of lunchtime equipment and facilities
  • Providing basic first aid if required
  • Liaising with other members of staff and parents if necessary

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children
  • A friendly and approachable manner
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
  • A commitment to promoting the school's values and ethos
  • A willingness to undertake any necessary training

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references - one of which must be in relation to previous experience (either employed or voluntary) working with Children.


The position is for 10 hours per week (11.45am - 1.45pm Monday to Friday) working term-time only (38 weeks per year).


The hourly rate starts from £11.79 per hour.
