We are looking for a self-motivated and practical person to take on the role of Site Manager.

North Crescent Primary is a small school with large grounds in the heart of Wickford. The children in our community deserve an excellent education, the Site Manager plays a vital part in this by ensuring that the building and grounds are safe, maintained and ready for teaching and learning to take place.

The post holder will need to have good communication skills to establish positive relationships with contractors and tradesmen as well as staff, pupils and their families. They will have strong DIY and handyman skills, including decorating, and be willing to learn how to use the school's electronic systems.

Being a small school, the post holder will be the only member of the site staff at the school. However, Schools For Every Child has an Estate Lead to provide advice and training and to uphold supportive practices with site staff across our academy schools.

Ideally, the post holder will possess an awareness of COSHH, Safe Manual handling practices and Health & Safety and have prior experience of working within a similar setting. (Although, this is not essential as training is available).

  • Courteous and enthusiastic learners
  • A supportive and friendly community
  • Training, as required
  • Recognition of continuous service
