We are looking for a positive, flexible, compassionate person to join our friendly team at Clarity Independent School. We cater for 13 pupils with SEND (mostly high functioning autism, ADHD and anxiety). We have exciting opportunities for an applicant who wishes to deliver a tailor-made SEN Science curriculum for small groups of children, overseeing a class of 4-6 pupils and supervising HLTAs.
You will be responsible for a class / key group of 4-6 children and will teach Key Stage 2-4 in small groups or on a one-to-one basis (along with other lessons in the afternoons as required). Lessons will be at the school, and activities will be in and around the local area. We use specialist support teams for extra-curricular activities and you will be required to transport and accompany children to and from these by car, supervising throughout. Ownership and use of a car full time, as well as a full driving license, is therefore essential.
The successful applicant will need to have substantial recent experience teaching pupils with SEN, along with substantial experience teaching pupils up to the end of Key Stage 4, and Science to Entry Level and foundational GCSE.
It would be preferable, (but not essential to being awarded the position), for the successful candidate to also teach an ICT curriculum at KS4, which will be provided by the school.
We have excellent CPD opportunities and exciting budgets for subject resources!
This is also a great opportunity to develop your Therapeutic Thinking skills by working with SEN pupils in a small, nurturing special school setting. A commitment to working as part of a team, helping to develop and support others to deliver Science across the school, and to developing your own skills is essential.
If you would like a tour, please contact our office team to arrange.

Please note:

Applications will be screened as soon as they are received and will be contacted asap before the closing date for interview; therefore, early applications are most welcome.
Our school is committed to safeguarding its pupils, and as such, a DBS check and online checks, such as social media checks, will be made as well as references sought prior to appointment.
