Position: KS2 Teacher + Head of Teaching and Learning (Senior Leadership Team Role)
Are you a passionate, experienced educator ready to take on a leadership role? Manuden Primary School is looking for an exceptional Key Stage 2 teacher to become our Head of Teaching and Learning joining our dynamic Senior Leadership Team. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and support high-quality teaching and learning across all phases.
- Collaborate with SLT to drive the school's vision and strategic priorities.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment in line with our restorative practices approach.
- Alongside our Head of Curriculum, oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and delivery to ensure a cohesive and impactful KS2 program.
- Develop consistent approaches to pedagogical practice in all class.
- Develop strong partnerships and collaborate with Envision to enhance educational experiences for all.
- Support and mentor teaching staff to achieve their professional best.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to staff, supporting them in subject leadership roles to build expertise, ensure high standards, and develop innovative approaches across the curriculum.
- Work closely with other leaders to provide an engaging and broad extra-curricular offer, including forest school experiences and residential trips.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven record of teaching excellence, particularly within KS2.
- Previous experience in a leadership or middle leadership role.
- A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and a passion for innovative, student-centered teaching practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire both students and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively with parents to support students' development and enhance school-home partnerships.
