Fixed Term SEN Learning Support Assistant - Scale 3 point 5 to 6

This post is Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Starting January 2025 to August 2027

We are looking to appoint a member of staff to work with a brilliant team, at a caring and supportive school. The role involves supporting a pupil with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and severe language delay.

Responsibilities:

· Provide support for a pupil in Year 4, helping them navigate the day.

· Assist the child in accessing an individual curriculum and managing routines, using strategies to support their communication, social and emotional development.

· Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and other support staff to implement the pupils Education, Health and Care Plan targets.

· Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment that fosters the child's independence and confidence.

What we are looking for:

· A patient, empathetic and proactive approach to supporting children with SEND.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the child, staff and parents.
