CLEANER (10 hours per week)

Pay Range: Local Government Scale 1, Point 2

Salary: £5,910 per annum

Start Date: As soon as possible

The Role

We are seeking an outstanding individual to undertake cleaning within the school according to Procedures Codes using a variety of methods including machinery and adhering to safety regulations.

  • This post is 10 hours per week, 43weeks per year (38 weeks term time plus 1 week non-pupil days and 4 weeks working during school closure periods).
  • The working hours are 15:30pm - 17:30pm Monday to Friday.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • To carry out cleaning in all and any areas of the school.
  • To carry out, as necessary the replacement of roller towels, renewing supply of toilet rolls and replacement of bin liners.
  • To undertake training in the correct use of cleaning equipment such as floor machines, Vacs, wets pic-ups and in health and safety and the use of cleaning chemicals.
  • To notify the Cleaning Supervisor or other senior members of staff, of any damage to buildings and equipment or of anything you see that may be dangerous to pupils and/or staff.
  • Frequency of cleaning to be undertaken as directed by Procedure Codes.
