Midday Assistants
Hours 8.75 hours per week,
Monday to Friday 11.30am to 1.15pm during term time (38 weeks)
We are looking to appoint three friendly, enthusiastic and reliable persons to join our midday team. The successful candidates will enjoy working with children and being part of a team in a Christian setting and contribute to this ethos and the wider school life.
Our Midday Assistants create a positive happy and secure environment in our playground, dining hall and the school building at lunchtime.
The three roles are:
1: A combined role supporting two diabetic pupils for 45 minutes and a lunch club for SEND FS pupils for 30 minutes (This role is from 12 midday until 1.15pm Monday to Friday)
2: A combined role as a general MDA for 45 minutes and and then an hour supporting children in Years 1-6 i a lunchtime club (This role is from 11.45am to 1.30pm)
3: A general MDA from 11.45am -1.30pm
Duties will include:
• supervising children in the lunch hall, classrooms and the playground
• leading games with the children
• encouraging healthy eating
• administering first aid if required
• interacting with children to encourage good social skills
•Setting up the dinner hall furniture, cleaning tables etc
For the combined roles above, training will be given for the diabetic role, and induction for the lunchtime clubs so that successful candidates know theneeds of the children attending.
