Preschool/Nursery Assistant Required
4 days per week:
- Tuesdays, Wednesday and Fridays in preschool- 8.15am to 3.45pm - 30 minutes unpaid lunch
- Thursday in Reception class - 8.45am to 3.15pm - 30 minutes unpaid lunch
Total hours - 28 hours per week
Term time only (38 weeks per year)
Pay Band - Scale 4 (points 7-8)

St Peter's Church of England Primary School is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Preschool Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.
As a Preschool Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality early years education and care. You will work closely with our experienced staff to create a stimulating and nurturing environment for our children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in planning, preparing, and implementing age-appropriate activities
- Supporting children's learning and development, including literacy, numeracy, and social skills
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children
- Working collaboratively with parents and carers
- Adhering to safeguarding and child protection policies
- Taking the lead in Speech & Language interventions
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Level 3 Childcare Qualification
- Experience working in an early years setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for working with young children
- A positive and solution-focused attitude
