Catering Assistant

Salary GLC Point 10 £23,966 - Point 11 £24,065 FTE [Actual Pro Rata Salary: £11,111 - £11,156]

Contract: Permanent

Working Pattern: Part time, 20 hours per week, Term time only.

The Gateway Academy is part of the Gateway Learning Community [GLC] which is a partnership of one secondary academy and four primary academies located within Tilbury and Chadwell St Mary in the borough of Thurrock, to the east of London. We are looking to recruit a flexible, enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our team as a part time catering assistant.

We would like to hear from you if you have a positive 'can do' attitude, are able to work flexibly as part of a team and have a desire to learn and achieve excellent hygiene and health & safety standards. The main duties of the post are to load hot trolleys and take them to our on-site primary school; set up the dinner hall; help with food preparation and the service of meals to pupils and staff; and to play a major part in clearing up the dinner hall and kitchen during and after service.
