Office Manager and PA to the Head Teacher
Required May 2025 or Earlier
Band D - £37,815.00 - £45,393.00 - FTE
Tudor Court Primary School is looking to appoint an experienced and highly efficient individual to join our friendly and successful large primary school, who would enjoy working in a busy office environment.
In this key role, you will be responsible for a team and be pivotal in the effective and smooth running of the school. A key part of the role will also include the responsibility for co-ordinating and allocating daily cover arrangements for planned and unplanned teaching staff release time and absence.
Previous experience of running a busy office and Arbor MIS is desirable. Applicants will need to demonstrate strong secretarial and time management skills. We welcome applications from candidates with experience in Educational or HR backgrounds.
This position involves working with a wide variety of people and therefore requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, whilst understanding the importance of customer service. The successful candidate will ensure that the dedicated team provides a high-quality service to staff, pupils, families, and the wider community.
The successful applicant will have:
· Excellent communication, ICT, and organisational skills, with a high level of accuracy and efficiency
· A knowledge of Arbor or similar MIS for the maintenance of pupil and staff records
· Experience in human resources processes, team management, and safer recruitment practices
· The ability to adapt and develop systems and procedures
· Experience in arranging absence cover for the teaching team
· The ability to present written and verbal information for the Head Teacher, Senior Leadership Team, and Governors
· Drive, initiative, commitment, and the ability to prioritise workload and manage the admin team, including meeting deadlines for the DfE and local authority
· A good sense of humour
· Resilience and a willingness to go the extra mile to make a difference
· The ability to work under pressure in an environment with constant interruptions
· An understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding
