Kitchen Assistant

Hours: 12.5 hours a week (Term Time, 38 working weeks), 11.30am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.

FTE salary: £24,027 to £24,404 - £12.45ph to £12.65ph (Scale 2 point's 3-4).

Start Date: To be discussed.

We are looking to recruit an amiable, conscienious individual to join our small, established catering team. The succesful candidate will assist the team in the preparation and clearing down of lunchtime food and beverages served to pupils to the standards required by the school.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

· The preparation and cooking of food & beverages.

· Serving pupils at the counter or a trolley as required.

· To undertake all aspects of cleaning equipment (light and heavy), walls (up to 6ft.) floors, fixtures and fittings, cooking utensils, serving dishes, plates, cutlery etc. as directed.

· To maintain a high standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory and school regulations.

· To participate in the performance and development review process, taking personal responsibility for identification of learning, development and training opportunities in discussion with line manager.

. To undertake, and keep upto date, all required training including, L2 'H&S in the Workplace' and 'Food Safety for Catering'.
