Job Description
Harlow Fields is a very successful special school providing for children and young people between the ages of 3 to 19 with Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties.
We are looking to appoint a number of Midday Assistants to work in partnership with class teachers and Learning Support Assistants to support pupils' learning in line with codes of practice and school policies and procedures. The successful candidates will be required to attend to pupils' personal needs, helping with social, welfare, care and health matters, which may include toileting, dressing, feeding and mobility throughout the lunchtime hours.
Previous experience of working with children with special educational needs is whilst not essential.
Our ideal candidate will work well as part of a team, be patient, tolerant, understanding and most importantly enjoy working with children. This is a School for children with special needs and some children display challenging behaviour.
There is also the opportunity to undertake additional hours covering Learning Support Assistants andattending School trips.
