Job Overview:

As a Content Developer at our college, your primary responsibility is to create, curate, and manage a variety of educational content. You will develop engaging course materials, academic resources, and promotional content. This role involves collaborating with students, and staff to ensure the production of high-quality educational materials that align with the college's mission and values. You'll also be involved in content strategy development, educational technology integration, and the use of multimedia to enhance the learning experience.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with faculty to design and develop course materials, including syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments.
  • Create engaging online learning content, including multimedia presentations, videos, and interactive modules.
  • Develop and curate educational resources, such as textbooks, study guides, and online reference materials.
  • Ensure that all content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with academic standards and the college's curriculum.
  • Utilise educational technology and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to enhance content delivery and student engagement.
  • Ensure that all content is accessible to students with disabilities, adhering to accessibility standards.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of content and instructional design.
  • Work closely with staff, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to align content with the college's educational goals.
  • Create and edit multimedia content, such as videos, podcasts, and interactive simulations.
  • Contribute to the development of content strategies and the alignment of content with the college's mission and vision.
  • Ensure that all content complies with copyright and intellectual property regulations.
  • Effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including faculty, students, and administrators.
  • Manage content development projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of content in achieving educational outcomes.
  • Your role as a Content Developer at a college is vital in creating a rich and engaging learning environment, supporting both educators and students in their pursuit of knowledge and academic success.
  • Establish and maintain close links with relevant statutory and voluntary services, and external referral agencies.
  • Work with others to promote a positive attitude to wellbeing within the college.
  • Support College events to promote the Wellbeing service.

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor's or higher degree in education, instructional design, communications, or a related field is typically required.
  • Strong knowledge of the subject matter related to the courses being developed.
  • The right candidate will have:
  • Experience of working with young people.
  • Excellent communication Skills
  • Ability to work in a busy environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office and ability to adapt to new software
  • Ability to prioritise their workload
  • Have a team orientated ethos
