Post: Nursery Practitioner
Location: Newhall Primary Academy
Working Pattern: Full/Part Time - 25 hours, all year round
Salary:SCP 5 - 6 (£23,500 - £23,893) per annum (this salary is for 37 hours per week)
Start Date: As soon as possible

Our nursery is part of the Reach2 Academy Trust and we are part of the Newhall Primary School next door. We are able to offer opportunities for individuals at different stages of qualification and in their careers - Apprenticeships for those starting in a childcare environment, positions at level two with training to level three for those already with qualifications, and for level three qualified candidates, the opportunity for further progression if eligible and the chance to become room leaders. Our practitioners are able to access the primary site and the resources, including the hall, the vast playing fields, the library and the teaching kitchen.

We would love to hear from you if you are an individual who:
- Have experience working with children between the ages of 6 months' to 5 years' old or a desire to
- Hold relevant Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification currently or be willing to work towards one through an apprenticeship training route
- Is committed to inspiring and supporting children to learn and achieve
- Is able to work as part of a team
- Experience of working within an early years setting
- Has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to keep accurate, thorough records
- Knowledge and understanding of how children develop
- Is conscientious, hardworking and enthusiastic
- Is dedicated to ensuring the overall safeguarding and wellbeing of all children
- Can demonstrate a commitment to our school ethos and values
- Has a valid First Aid certificate or is prepared to undertake one.

Information about the School
Newhall is a new, 2-form, state of the art academy and nursery on the Newhall development in Harlow. The school has been built to accommodate 420 primary children (Reception to Year 6) and 56 nursery children (6 months to 4 years).
Our school and nursery are situated on vast grounds, incorporating sports fields, games courts and play areas. The main building itself offers a fully equipped curriculum kitchen for pupil use, a beautiful library, outbreak areas for interventions, a music and drama room and very well-resourced nursery rooms and primary classrooms.
All our staff have an excellent work ethic and deliver high quality learning opportunities for our polite and eager-to-learn children. We have a caring, family ethos coupled with high expectations and along with the Reach2 Academy Trust, we are able to provide high quality CPD for all who work here.
