We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated Catering Manager to manage our catering team which offers approximately 200 healthy cooked meals to pupils and staff. We are seeking someone who is passionate about cooking and enjoys using their own initiative.
Your role will involve planning, preparing and presenting all food, in line with the statutory regulations and school standards and will also ensure that the school catering is managed effectively with relation to staffing, budget, stock, service and delivery.
27 ½ hours per week Mon- Fri 9.00am - 2.30pm Term time only, with some flexabilty with hours
We are looking for someone who:
• Has a proven track record of working in a busy kitchen environment
Ideally holds the Level 3 Food Safety Certificate
Has knowledge of personnel management, budgeting, hygiene and health and safety
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Be prepared to develop and learn in the role.
• Is able to communicate, enthuse and inspire
• Is able to work with the community
• Has a desire to play an active role in the development of the school and to use their own skills, talents and interests for the benefit of children.
We will provide appropriate training if necessary.
Visit to the school is welcomed
