Head of Business and Economics

Contract: Full Time Permanent

Salary: MPS/UPS (£30,000 - £41,333) + TLR 2C £7847

Start: September 2024

A once in a career opportunity to work in a brand new, state of the art £34 million school. This is a genuinely unique opportunity to take on a key role at the first 'all through' school in Essex, judged Outstanding by Ofsted in January 2023.

The Beaulieu Park School opened the doors to 60 Reception children in September 2018. In September 2019, another cohort were welcomed into the Primary School, together with 180 Year 7 students. The school is growing each year with a new cohort of entry. We were pleased again this year that we were oversubscribed with families nominating us as their first choice school. We now have over 1400 students in years R, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. Our 6th form provision will open in September.

We are seeking to appoint a Head of Business & Economics to plan and deliver Business Studies and Economics at A level. The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner who has a successful record of success and enhancing the learning, experiences and personal growth of their students. They will be reflective, excited by taking risks, and accepting that failure is a part of the learning process. They will promote lifelong learning through their constant drive to improve their own practice, as well as supporting those they lead to develop their skills. They will believe passionately in the importance of education for all children, refusing to accept that disadvantage or SEND should limit ambition or potential.

The closing date is 12 noon on Monday 26th February 2023. Interviews will be held on 7th March 2024

Information about the School

The Beaulieu Park School is Essex’s first ‘All Through’ school and the primary phase opens for reception students in September 2018 with the secondary phase opening in September 2019. The Beaulieu Park School will welcome its first cohort of 60 reception aged children in two classes. In September 2019, 180 Year 7 students will be admitted. Year on year the school will grow, providing 420 places for local children between four and eleven years old by 2024 and 900 places for local children between 11 and 16 years old by 2023.
