In August 2023 unstable RAAC was discovered in our school and a period of temporary buildings began. We are now looking forward to moving into a new temporary building in Spring 2025. Our current school situation means that overseeing one kitchen and two serveries is now a requirement of the role, working with supportive and flexible staff to ensure smooth operations across both schools.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, friendly and child-focused Catering Manager to join our happy team at St Andrew's Junior School. Where all children are loved and known and every child shines. We are looking for someone to confidently lead our catering team; creating healthy, balanced meals that our children enjoy. To be passionate about cooking and to create an exciting 'buzz' around our lunchtimes in school. To be part of the whole-school team and have a desire to provide the best school-meal experience for our families.
We also provide and serve meals for Hatfield Peverel Infant and Nursery school.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Appointments are subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
Visits are welcomed and necessary to be able to understand our site and the role! Please do make an appointment for an informal visit with Becky Black (our Headteacher) who would love to meet you and share her vision for school meals at St Andrew's Junior School.
