After School Club Assistant

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: 9 hours per week: 3pm - 6pm

Term time only (38 weeks per year)
Pay Band - Scale 2, Point 3 to 4

Requiredfrom January 2025

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated After School Club Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking team.

St Peter's Church of England Primary School is a vibrant school with a friendly and supportive staff and fantastic children. The successful applicant will have a 'solution-based' attitude, will emanate positivity, and will uphold our Christian values, including tolerance, understanding and forgiveness.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
  • Providing comprehensive care for the children.
  • Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
  • Administering first aid when necessary.
  • Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
  • Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
  • Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
  • Working within the framework of the club's policies and procedures.

The successful applicant should preferably have:

  • A calm and kind manner.
  • An ability to be organised and work under pressure.
  • Experience of working in a school or with children.
  • An ability to follow instructions as well as to work on their own initiative.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A commitment to meeting the needs of all pupils.

We will consider part-time or jobshare.

Funded childcare places in after school club may be available for applicants with children at the school. Please ask for further information.
