General Catering Assistant - Greenways Primary School
We have exciting opportunities for enthusiastic individuals to join our busy in-house catering team here at Greenways Primary School. We are seeking to appoint the following;
General Catering Assistant
Hours:12 hours 30 mins per week, Mon-Fri - 11:15 am to 1:45 pm, Term Time only
Salary: Level 1, Point 3 FTE £24,027
Actual annual salary:£6,880.72,£12.45 per hour
Duties include:
- serving of meals and snacks as required
- carrying out general cleaning tasks within the kitchen and dining areas
- supporting and carrying out any other tasks as directed and requested by the Catering Manager
A commitment to a high standard of hygiene as well as the ability to work as part of a team, are essential. An understanding and awareness of food hygiene is required, although training can be given, and an ability to adhere to health and safety regulations.

Our large primary school is a happy, vibrant learning community situated in Southend-on-Sea.
The school is situated only 300m from the beach. We are blessed to have a large site with some fantastic facilities including our own swimming pool, Forest Schools area, environmental area and pond as well as two large playing fields.
Our community is a place of learning and friendship. We provide a happy and nurturing environment, so that as well as maturing into well-rounded, healthy young people, our children develop a passion for learning.
