We are seeking to appoint an excellent class teacher for Year 1, ECTs are welcome to apply.
Following our GOOD Ofsted visit in March 2022 we are looking forward to growing and building on our good reputation and good educational outcomes for all pupils. We are committed to achieving the very best for our pupils and expect all staff to share this commitment.
You will have a strong track record of delivering consistently effective teaching with a passion for making a difference in children's lives. Subject leader role to be agreed.
The successful candidate will:
· Have excellent classroom practice and the knowledge and ability to apply a range of pedagogical strategies to support pupil progress
· Be able to challenge and support children of all abilities across the curriculum
· Demonstrate a passion for the learning and development of the whole child
· Have high expectations of themselves, colleagues and children
· Be able to work effectively in a team
· Be committed to the school's ethos and values and the belief that everyone can succeed
· Good understanding of and ability to teach phonics

Information about the School
Giffards has been a primary school since 2005, with the amalgamation of the previous Infant and Junior schools. We currently have 14 classes with 405 pupils. We are a welcoming, friendly and inclusive primary academy, where we nurture and celebrate the achievements of all of our children. We have a large, experienced team of teachers and LSAs as well as specialist Music and PE staff. This has created a large school. We have invested heavily in ICT; all our classrooms have interactive screens as does our music room. We have an ICT suite with 30 computers plus interactive screen and also every child has access to their own chrome book as well as a set of headphones. All teaching staff have their own laptops which are used for planning and centralisation of information and resources.
